Tea for Two

My weekend was good, busy but good. The weather was gorgeous with the sun out and feeling nice and warm with a cool breeze. It was good. Spent some time outside, amongst the flowers in my mom's garden while drinking un cafecito :) Saturday was spent doing some wedding stuff..working on the favors and checking the RSVP, looks like we're going to have to call some people to see if they're coming or not. FUN!! Jared took the car and went with his brother to Tartan Town..I always laugh when I hear the name..it's a place to rent all the stuff you need for wearing the whole Scottish kilt outfit. So, that's done. They got everything there, which is good. Jared worked Saturday night, I worked on some of the favors and watched season one of Alias with my sister Olga. Love that show..in the beginning I didn't really have much of a chance to watch it near the end. I wish i could kick ass like Sydney Bristow can..I know it's a tv show but still how cool would that be!!

Sunday I went with Connie to the Secret Garden for high tea...so fun!! Loved it!! It's a cute little kind of store/house you can have tea and then in the back there's a store with some of the teas they have and all the baked goodies and tea things. We had a good time drinking tea and chatting. Because of the crap that was going on at last weekend's bridal shower..bridesmaid drama..fun...Connie never made it to the bridal shower...sad..so, we had our own, just the two of us...and she got me some scrap goodies as a bridal shower gift...woohoo..KI stuff..happy!! I haven't been to the scrap store in a like a month..it's hard. Probably won't get to go 'til after the honeymoon!! We had a good time!!

The Secret Garden...

Me and Connie...

The yummy goodies..I love that three tiered stand...very cool!!

We had a Father's day dinner sunday night, in honor of my daddy..yummy food!! Jared met up with the groomsmen for the tuxes and then he hung out with his family later. So, wedidn't get to see each other this weekend at all. Totally sucked. But that's okay soon I'll have him around all the time. Which is good!!

Okay I need to ask all of you about how you organize your scrap supplies. I'm going to be moving my stuff into Jared's soon and trying to organize a little because it is such a small space. So, tell me how do you organize everything? Especially cardstock and patterned papers and all the paper scraps..want to see want works best maybe for me and what is easier...thankyou so much!!

Hope eveyone had an awesome weekend...have an awesome week..summer officially arrives on wednesday!! Love it!!

Sounds like a busy weekend.
I keep all of my patterned paper in an organizer by brand and then a section of my favorites, my cardstock all goes together and I keep cardstock scraps in a ziploc bag, patterned scraps in one and in a smaller bag smaller pieces that aren't big enough to scrap with, but could be used for a card or tag. I organize emellishments by type not brand. Some are in containers, some in file folders(stickers and rubons) and some in a binder with storage pockets. Everything that I use all the time (adhesive, scissors, tweezers...) is in a small basket within arms reach.

Hey girl! Those snackies look sooo yum. I'm jealous! I just posted on my blog half of my scrap space, so you can peep it if you want! I'll be posting more when blogger lets me. Grrr.

I "heart" tea. I am drinking me some spiced chai tea right now. I don't have a lot of PP...I just buy it as I need it. I do keep my scraps in a big ziplock bag and rummage thru it all the time. I have little jars that I bought at HL for 77 cents with 40% off of course. I also have those little cases from provo craft that hold 12 little metal containers with my my color eyelets and brads in one case and all my silver, pewter, black and whites in the other case...for when I take my scrap crap on the road.

Love your pictures! That place looks awesome!! As for scrapping organization...I use the Cropper Hopper upright storage for my paper and I organize it by brand. I don't have tons of space and these seem to work the best! I also have a bunch of those sterelite drawer sets, and a tackle box for little embellishments!!

oooh that tea time looks & sounds like fun. so grown-up!! not much longer at all & you'll be a married woman :)

i put my 12x12 pp's in a 12x12 organizer w/a handle, & i also have a big 14x14 square plastic box that i keep some in if i'm trying to decide what to use on a layout. i use a couple of rubbermaid type boxes for my tools & ribbons. i kept switching storage for a long time cause i've never had my own scrap room. that's what's worked best for me the past 6 mos. or so.

Hey Val!
Looks like such a fun little tea place! Those treats look yummy! :)

I have an armoire (I think I've posted it on my blog before) that keeps all my supplies in one spot. Then I scrap on my dining room table (it's right next to the armoire.) Good luck! :)
