Tea for Two

My weekend was good, busy but good. The weather was gorgeous with the sun out and feeling nice and warm with a cool breeze. It was good. Spent some time outside, amongst the flowers in my mom's garden while drinking un cafecito :) Saturday was spent doing some wedding stuff..working on the favors and checking the RSVP, looks like we're going to have to call some people to see if they're coming or not. FUN!! Jared took the car and went with his brother to Tartan Town..I always laugh when I hear the name..it's a place to rent all the stuff you need for wearing the whole Scottish kilt outfit. So, that's done. They got everything there, which is good. Jared worked Saturday night, I worked on some of the favors and watched season one of Alias with my sister Olga. Love that show..in the beginning I didn't really have much of a chance to watch it near the end. I wish i could kick ass like Sydney Bristow can..I know it's a tv show but still how cool would that be!!

Sunday I went with Connie to the Secret Garden for high tea...so fun!! Loved it!! It's a cute little kind of store/house you can have tea and then in the back there's a store with some of the teas they have and all the baked goodies and tea things. We had a good time drinking tea and chatting. Because of the crap that was going on at last weekend's bridal shower..bridesmaid drama..fun...Connie never made it to the bridal shower...sad..so, we had our own, just the two of us...and she got me some scrap goodies as a bridal shower gift...woohoo..KI stuff..happy!! I haven't been to the scrap store in a like a month..it's hard. Probably won't get to go 'til after the honeymoon!! We had a good time!!

We had a Father's day dinner sunday night, in honor of my daddy..yummy food!! Jared met up with the groomsmen for the tuxes and then he hung out with his family later. So, wedidn't get to see each other this weekend at all. Totally sucked. But that's okay soon I'll have him around all the time. Which is good!!

Okay I need to ask all of you about how you organize your scrap supplies. I'm going to be moving my stuff into Jared's soon and trying to organize a little because it is such a small space. So, tell me how do you organize everything? Especially cardstock and patterned papers and all the paper scraps..want to see want works best maybe for me and what is easier...thankyou so much!!

1 Month...4 weeks...30 days...

Until the wedding, we're almost there!! SO excited!! Now it's down to the little things and giving away all the money we've saved to pay for things!! That's hard!! Have a fab weekend everyone!!

Bridal Shower

I had my first bridal shower on Saturday, my mom and sisters threw it for me!! It was a "surprise"!! I kind of had an idea...I was not allowed to go into the fridge on Friday, I had to ask my mom to get something out for me...that's a hint and that I wasn't allowed to go home until about 1:30pm and so, I had to keep myself busy since Jared was at his grandpa's helping him cut a tree and doing some yard work!! We had tons of fun, played a ton of games, chatted tons, ate some yummy food. It was good. There was some crap going on, which I won't get into too much, just makes you realize who your real friends are and on and on..maybe more later on that. But I had tons of fun at my mom's and sisters shower...check out some pics..

After the shower it was a pretty laid back Saturday night...I was so tired went to bed super early. Sunday got up to meet with the photographer, fun..she's awesome..then spent the day with Jared, hanging out doing wedding stuff, went to Michaels, got Jared's passport pics...delivered invites, all Jared's...cleaned his place..soon to be mine. He has a computer lab in his kitchen/entrance way, and it's driving me nuts..monitors, keyboards, processors, computer parts everywhere. Jared and his brother were planning to sell them..that was in February...they have to go..either a garage sale or the dump. But, the place looks clean!!

So, that was my weekend!! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!! Just wanted to let all my bloggin buddies know that, now with the wedding getting closer I am having less time to go on the computer, I try but it's hard. So, I'm trying to make it out to everyone's blog but, if I don't for awhile just know that it's wedding busyness and, that I am trying :) I hope everyone has a fabulous week..thinking of you all!!

So much going on...

So, I survived the house boating!! Came back in one piece!! My voice didn't really come back until yesterday, still was kind of husky!! Along with this horrible cough!! But along with the cough, and no voice had migraines on Friday and Saturday. Which totally sucked!! Could not drink as much as I would've liked to. Jared made up for the both of us. The weekend was actually very relaxing. Lounging up on the top deck while we were driving on the lake ( do you drive a boat?), chatting, eating, tons of napping, relaxing. It was good. Totally what we needed, both Jared and I. No wedding stuff, appointments nothing. Although I did think about some stuff that I should be doing...anyways, this whole trip makes me even more excited about Hawaii and just relaxing with my husband. Cannot wait!! The drive there and back sucked..5 and half hours...seemed forever...I cannot stand being in the car for so long...but all in all it was good!! Jared was such a sweetie, taking car of me with the migraines, napping, bringing me food...makes me even more excited to be his wife..I already knew how awesome of a husband he's going to be and take care of me forever, but it made me realize even more how lucky I am!! I love him even more!!

So, the wedding is 39 days away..OMG!! I cannot believe it!! this weeke have so many things I need to do..finally get the passport pics, the marriage license, meet with the photographer and the decorator and the florist...start on the favors...but I am getting EXCITED no stress whatsoever!!

June is my birthday month as well!! And this year it is my champagne year, like they call it. I will be turning 27 on the 27th of June!! 27!! Can you believe it? Ugh...and this year it's kind of cool I will be in school to celebrate with the children. This has neve happened before, I'm excited..they all think I am turning 5 ;) OSunds good to me!!

This weekend I am hoping to get some scrapping done too..have felt lost without it...gotta keep going with the engagement album..have a fab rest of the week..

Hear none..speak none..

So, I started off my week with not being able to hear out of my right ear.Which totally sucks!! It throws you off, completely!! Yesterday I went to the walk in clinic to get my ear flushed. But, I woke up with no voice. Actually it started Monday night but was totally gone Tuesday!! Which kind of makes it worse, not hearing and not being able to talk!! Once my ear was flushed, and I could hear felt better. But, my voice...slowly disappearing!! Apparently I have a virus..great!! Well I was kind of hoping to wake up with a voice this morning but, nope still gone. It's more husky than anything, cannot talk loud at all. Try talking to 3 and 4 year olds in circle... very difficult. As of right now it's still gone...I;m hoping that I wake up with my voice tomorrow morning.

Jared and I went to visit the decorator, well kind she's the supplier for all the decorations at the wedding, recommended by our fabulous decorator!! who totally rocks!! Anyways we were running late and I phoned to let her know that we would be about 10 minutes and since I have no voice it was a little hard. Well, I was a little mad after I got off the phone, apparently she had scheduled us for a 1:30pm appointment..uhhhh..no....I start work at 12:15pm not possible. Well she ended up meeting us at 11:20am..and apologized for she had boo-booed, she remembered our conversation and just had forgotten to change the time. Ugh!! Nothing big!! But it was completely rushed!! And she seemed a bit of ditz, out to lunch...anyways!! That's done with!!

Oh yeah I did get my ring back..it looks fabulous back on my finger...I'm happy :)

This weekend Jared and I are going to a combined bachelor/bachelorette party up in Salmon Arm. Whichi is about a 5 1/2 hour drive..fun!! cna't stand being in the car that long!! It's for a good friend of his, he's a groomsmen in his wedding, and he's a groomsmen in our wedding. I'm feeling a little nervous...we're going house boating...and I don't know these people too well either. Jared wanted me to go, so I'm going!! I'm not a big fan of boats either, and scared of being left alone. So, think of me, hopefully my voice will come back before then..and the whole boat thing goes well. I will try to take some pics, hopefully no rain!! Have an awesome weekend everybody!!

Wedding Dress Excitement!!

So, glad it is Friday!! The weekend is here which is awesome!! Short week for us here in Canada, thanks to Victoria Day on Monday!!

Anyways, Wednesday I had my first appointment for my wedding dress alterations. I went with my sister Olga and my good friend Connie!! We had tons of fun!! Lots of chatting and laughing!! Olga and Connie get along so well, which is totally awesome!! We had some dinner at the mall before going to the bridal shoppe. I was so excited to try my dress on again. The last time I had it on was in January when we went dress shopping. Just in case some of you don't know it was the first dress I tried on. And it totally hit me, I knew it, had tears on my eyes!! So, I was excited!!

I put my dress on, with the shoes and came out!! Connie had not seen the dress yet, she loved it. It SO goes with the whole Scottish themed wedding. I was all smiles. JUST SO HAPPY!! Althought the seamstress was a real COW!! And her name is Olga too!! Good thing my sister is awesome!! Because if I did not know another Olga, she would totally give the name Olga a bad rep. And you don't hear that name too often!! Besides the seamstress, it was awesome!! Took TONS of pics!! More Olga and Connie!! Everytime I looked they were clicking away!! Did get tons of good shots. Which all of you will have to wait..I don't want Jared reading the blog and seeing me in my dress. But, if your that desperate in seeing..I do not mind sharing through email..so, let me know :) I'd be happy too!! I will share a pic of the three of us at Starbucks after chatting away and giggling away too!! Tons of fun!! Gotta go get these pics developed so, I can scrap them!!

I'm all smiles!! SO, my weekend. Gotta go get some passport pics done tomorrow!! And Sunday...looks like I will FINALLY get my engagement ring back!! Have been LOST without it!! It's been three weeks!! Cannot wait to see it!! Hope you all have a fab weekend!! Take care!!

Going Up...

Hate how the weekends just fly by!! Even long weekends!! My weekend was good!! Saturday tutored French in the morning and then went to my friends house for my hair consultation with her sister!! So, I decided on up (tried to do a witty title about it, seems okay but makes me think of Shania Twain's song) and some curls. I love how it turned out and how it looks with the veil and the tiara!! It's pretty much exactly as I pictured it. With my bangs placed on the side. I figured all of it up, just so it's out of the way. I've posted some pics, but I will save the ones with the tiara and the veil until the wedding day so, you all can see it with the dress. I love it!!







The rest of Saturday was spent just being lazy, doing some scrapping..good times!! Totally relaxing!!

Sunday I went with my good friend Connie to Langley, about 45 minutes from my house to go and check out some scrap stores. There is a huge one with tons of goodies and the other store just tends to have a different variety of things. had luch at Tim Hortons, donuts are always good. And basically just shopped and shopped. I feel so, bad I should not be spending too much money. That's okay, I figure the next time I do a major shopping trip with scrapping supplies will be after the wedding. We had tons of fun!! Chatting away a mile a minute!! Fun!! Watched Desperate Housewives, definelty interesting will have to see what happens in the new season!!

Monday, slept late and basically scrapped all afternoon, didn't feel too bad since it was raining outside. Scrapped until I had to go tutor!! I'm working on a little album for Jared that I am going to give to him as a gift before the wedding!!

And Jared called me on Monday after I finished tutoring!! He actually called me everyday of the stag weekend while he was away. Twice while he was drunk, and once sober. The drunken conversations were basically hard to understand, lots of I love you's, and having the phone passed around to all of his friends. Fun, which were also very intoxicated!! I saw him last night after tutoring, and I got to hear some of the stories..nothing as bad as I was expecting. Which is good. Bascially lots of drinking, lots of beer, and lots of good times. All of his freinds had a good time as well. In all Jared said there were 25guys that went up to Whistler for his stag!! WOW!! Mr Popular!! I'm just glad that he's home, that he had a good time and that it didn't get to wild as I thought it would've.

Well I hope everybody had an AWESOME weekend..I'm so excited tomorrow I go for my dress alterations...YAY!! Will take some pics!!

It's a LOOOONG Weekend!!

Thankgoodness it is Friday!! And it is a long weekend too!! So, happy!! Victoria day is on Monday, here in Canada. So, we get an extra day off!! YAY!!

Jared left today for Whistler, for his stag!! Whistler is one of our local mountains up here, with like a small village. It's the place for the 2010 Olympic Winter games!! It's small but, it's really pretty and there's tons of restaurants and bars!! Like a European skiing village. I talked to him after school for a bit, and I could tell in his voice that he was already very happy!! I can't wait until he comes home, already. His friends are going to get him SO drunk. He was telling me that he didn't want to get so drunk but, that's going to happen anyways. I just want someone to take care of him since, I will not be there. He can be either really funny drunk or the one who wants to fight everyone, that one is not fun!! I know certain friends will take care of him, and his brother will for sure but, still I worry!! He comes back on Sunday. I told him to call me when he is coherent, which wil probably be on Monday. I know he will have a good time.

My weekend is spent doing wedding stuff, and hanging out with friends. Saturday I am teaching French in the morning and then after I'm going to my friend's house, her sister is a hair dresser and we are having a bridal hair consultation. I am excited, I get to bring my veil and tiara. For all of you who are married, tell me what did you do with your hair? Up or down? I'll probably put it up, but I want lots of curlies..we'll see, I will take pics!!

Sunday I'm getting together with my friend Connie and we're going to the scrap store, and do a little shopping!! I'm excited!! Love to shop, and for scrap stuff too!! WOOHOO!! Plan to do a little scrapping as well this weekend!!

Before I forget, I have good news!! Two things!! First Jared got hired again with the landscaper that he worked with almost all last spring and summer!! Which is awesome, we definetly need some more moolah for the wedding!! I'm happy about that!! Also may suck a little too, 'cause that means he'll be working more and less time together but, that's okay, soon we'll be sick of each other once I move in!! I find it hard right now too, though with our schedules, and work!! And when we do see each other there's always talk about the wedding and what we need to do. I miss talking about nothing and everything. Soon. The second piece of good news..my sister , well my half sister is coming to the wedding!! YAY!! I'm so happy and excited!! We RSVP by email, and she sent me an email saying how happy she is coming, and that she wants to be there for me, and that she misses and loves me..and wants to get together soon and catch up. I was almost crying when I read the email. this could be it, she's really back in my life!! So, I have to call her and we're going to go out!! Definetly but a smile on my face!!

2 months...60 days...

We're almost there, can you believe it?! I'm getting excited...and a little nervous!! It's just flying by, the days...almost!! Today is also the day of ship out for Blogging Babes CJ...YAY!! I promise to post pics either tonight or tomorrow...hope evryone had a fabulous weekend!!

What A Week...

That is how my week has been, busy!! Now that the wedding is getting closer so, much more to do. We had meetings with the caterer and decorator, handing out invitations and mailing them too. Picking up kilt fabric, dealing with the florists..we're having issues... but, I guess I had to have at least one thing. Plus I still have to work and tutor...I was looking forward to the weekend.

This morning I spent some quality time with my mama. We went to the mall to go look at shoes for the wedding, and just hang out!! It was fun!! Got to chat tons, and drink coffee, which is always good!! And she told me how much she's going to miss me when, I leave and how the house is going to be different without me there. We both almost started crying in the cafe. For me it's going to be hard, I know it, I'm spoiled and moving out with Jared will be different. But I'm ready and excited!! And I know I will be over tons, especially with Jared working mostly nights. I'll be over for dinner tons. But hanging out with my mom this morning totally made me realize how we have to do it more often.

The rest of my day was spent hanging out more with both my mom and dad. Went to go buy some flowers for my mom for Mother's Day tomorrow. And saw Jared too for a bit..check out what I got..oh an here's my tag for April!!

It's been gone all week for sizing, and I have missed it so. My finger looks so naked with just the promise ring that Jared gave me almost 7years ago....cannot wait to get the sparkler back on. Hope evryone has a fab weekend!! And happy mother's day to all you wonderful mama's!!

The invitations are done. YAY!! Jared and I went to Office Depot yesterday to make the copies of the maps of the venues. All 200 of them. Fun!! Then, my sister Olga helped me "stuff" them. All we have to do now is address them, which we will do later today and mail off the ones that are out of town. The invitations look so much better in real life, the picture don't do any justice to the invitations and all the hard work that I did on them. The red and blue are all colors taken from the kilt. I hope you all like them!!

Don't mind me...

Been sick...

Had this nasty cold the past couple of days. It totally sucked!! Started at 3am Sunday morning, with my nose and I had problems breathing. I think that was a kind of a panic attack. That was me freaking out about the wedding, which is weird because I don't think I have been stressing out too much. I can partly blame Jared 'cause he was a TOOL on the weekend!! ANd difficult and so many other things that I totally did not feel like dealing with. Everything's okay and he apologized. So, as for the wedding invitations. I printed out the invitations, and the reply cards. Those are done. As are the gift registry cards. All we need to do is the map for the ceremony and reception site. That's Jared's job and address them as well. That will be done on the weekend. Which means I can finally show all of you soon...tomorrow or Friday, I promise!!

Booked by apppointment with the Bridal Shoppe for my wedding dress alterations, I'm so excited!! Just to wear the dress again. Getting a hair cut on Saturday, excited too!! My hair is just WAY too long, needs a cut. And so unhealthy too!! Love going to the hair salon!!

Wedding Make-Up Fun...and take 5...

The weekend is here. So happy!! Love the weekends!! Tonight after work I went to the scrap store and picked up some goodies for my Blogging Babes CJ!! And my scrap store had a bunch of new Heidi Swapp stuff..woohoo..I think alphabets are my weakness, one of them at least..so I'm set to start. That'll be my weekend, doing my CJ and completing Chriselda's White CJ, I'm excited!!

Last night my sisters and I had our make-up consultation for our wedding day make-up.We had tons of fun, hanging out together and playing with make-up. Vanessa, my sister..the flight attendant was in town and she has a good friend who is a make-up artist and he has been booked since Jared and I got engaged to do our make-up for the wedding day. And since she was in town I wanted us to go and see him and see what we should do for the wedding. He did all of us, I was the only one who got the full fledged make-up for the day of, my sisters just their eyes and lips...We were there for 2 and a half hours. He did such an awesome job..check out the pics!! And it was so fun to hang out with my sisters..

Here I am..the bride...I love how my make-up is going to look on the big day!! It's all pretty natural, with a little bit of glitter, some pink and browns. Love it!! Even went with the eyeliner and mascara. In general I usually don't wear too much make-up, my eyes are really sensitive and I always tear up. It's more my contacts than anything, but for this day I'm going all out.

My baby sister Olga..well she's not really a baby anymore for being almost 20, but she'll always be the baby in the family..love the purple on her eyes..so pretty!!




Tomorrow Jared and I are going to go and see the ring designer for our wedding bands. Since the wedding is completely Scottish themed, we are having Celtic knotwork bands. My engagement ring has Celtic knotwork on it. My ring is GORGEOUS..Jared did well!! I might have to show it off again. Then after we'll probably go back to Jared's and start printing the invitations...and that's pretty much what we will be doing over the weekend, finishing off those invitations, and I will most likely post pics on Monday so, you all can see. I think I've been holding out on you all for too long..but I only wanted to show you all when they were completely done.

The Blogging Babes..

A new circle journal that I have joined...which I am so excited about!! Don't you juss love our new name!! Cannot wait to start, first up is to go shopping for some scrap goodies, always fun!! Will share when I'm done!! For now I am excited to get to know all these fabulous babes!!

The invitations are ALMOST done!!

YAY!! Isn't that awesome!! That's pretty much all we did on the weekend!! I barely spent anytime online on the weekend which hasn't ahppened in awhile!! Saturday was spent, with Jared in the afternoon booking chair for the ceremony sit. That's done. And we were looking into reserving a tent just in case it rains...which IT WILL NOT!! But we did not realize at how much tents cost, especially the big one we need to fit 150 people inside of just incase it will rain even though IT WILL NOT!! Four hundred dollars that's crazy!! Ans if we cancel it, we still lose half our money!! So we're still thinking about it. Jared went to work and I had one of my bridesmaids come over and basically put the invitations together!! I finished the embossing and thankfully I did not sneeze and it went by quicker than I thought it would!! I finished 100 embossed celtic designs in no time.

So, my friend Sam came over in the evening and we were putting the invitations together when we realized that I had gotten the wron width of ribbon so had a break went to Michaels and exchanged it for the right size ribbon. Went back to my house had some dinner and continued. We watched a whole bunch of wedding movies since we were making wedding invitations. Watched two of my fave wedding movies, "Father of the Bride" and "the Wedding Planner" LOVE Matthew McConaughey!! We were just getting into things when we ran out of glue dots to glue the ribbon..had nochoice but to stop.

Sam come over Sunday morning we went to get the Glue Dots and we continued and finished putting all the invitations together!! YAY!! I am SO happy!! Jared came over in the afternoon and we went to Office Depot to get some computer ink and labels for the invitations. And basically from 4pm to almost 8pm we were on the computer doing the writing for the invitation and the reply card. It took so long spacing and picking a font and all the wording. But we did it. We took a break and went to go watch his good friend and also a groomsmen Ian play hockey. It was quite exciting and there was almost a fight and Jared had to go running and break it up. He was gone for the rest of game, I was a little worried. But boys are silly with sports and all. No matter what sport there's a fight or arguing. I don't understand. Mike and Jen were there, it's also Mike's team before the accident. He's looking really good on crutches now, he can put pressure on his right foot now which is awesome. That means he will be able to hopefully stand next to Jared at the wedding. And I've missed hangin out with Jen, especially with the wedding getting closer and things getting busier. That's okay, we have promised to get together soon.

After the hockey game we went back to Jared's and finished off the labels for the gift registry cards and the maps to put into the invitaions of the ceremony and reception site. We are ready to go!! Now this coming weekend we get to print everything off. And we are done!! WOOHOO!! I promise to share a pic of the invitations once they are all comlete!!

So that was my weekend!! I hope evryone had an awesome weekend as well!!

Update for Raina...

Was just on her blog, and she had an audio message, love her voice by the way!! Love how she says, eh all the time too!! I'm the same!! So, I'm updating per her request...I'm bad at that!! Even though I think sometimes that I bore everyone with all my wedding stuff!! It seems that's all it is right now, three more months, almost there!!

Besides wedding stuff...Jared was sick all Easter long weekend, which totally sucked!! A very bad flu!! Saw him today, took him some oj, he looks better. His stomach is better which is good, now it's just a cold!! I just want him to get better soon. We haven't really hung out in awhile. Weekends have been busy for him with work and soccer playoff games the past three weeks. But that's over so, now summer soccer starts..next wednesday and thursday!! Soccer for him is just year round, non stop all the time!! That's okay, I'm so used to it. He has slowed down quite a bit. When we first started dating, he was playing 3 to 4 times a week, and very dedicated and strict. Would not miss a game for anything. He even tried out for the national soccer team in Scotland. And he made it but decided that it wasn't worth it, the money anyways, and that he would still have to find another job while playing soccer. So, he came home. And this is the first year when we started dating. He was gone for almost a month. But he did it and I am so proud of him for doing it!!

School is good. I have a five year old boy in my class who is in love with me. It's true!! It's so cute!! My co-workers have noticed too. When we have to glue some paper onto construction paper, he always chooses blue and says "This is Ms Suttorp's fave color." The same thing when it comes to coloring, always in blue. He always asks me to sit with him, and play with him at the playground. Always holding my hand and talking to me. The sweetest thing, today he was one of the last students to come to class today so all the other children were already in circle and I was cutting snack. So, I greeted him and he walked right in and put his hands out and said "For you Ms Suttorp!!" He made me a bracelet and so, pretty too!! He didn't make a bracelet for my other two co-workers so, they were asking him for "their" bracelet and if they knew about Jared and that I was getting maried!! Just teasing him!! It was cute!! But he only had eyes for me!!! Did not leave my side basically for the rest of class!! Cute!!

Wedding stuff..the invitations are coming along..getting there!! This weekend we're doing more wedding stuff...chair and tent rentals, honeymoon stuff, ink and labels for printing out the invitations. No stress, yet?! Just worried that I am going to forget something!! We still need a dj and bagpiper, hopefully that will come soon!! Need to bug Jared about the rings, and limo. But that will get done!! We're getting there, I cannot wait to be on the beach in Honolulu!!

Have been doing tons of scrapping since Jared was sick over the weekend!! And I wanted to post but, Blogger is being difficult!! Maybe next time, if not it;s on two peas..so check it out if you get a chance!!Hope everyone is having a good week!!

3 Months...90 Days...

Until the wedding!! I hope you don't all mind my countdown, every month without fail!! I'm getting a little nervous, anxious and excited. I guess that's a good thing.

Not much to really report. It's a LONG weekend!! YAY!! I'm excited about that. Just got home from renewing my First Aid, I need it for school and my degree plus its good to have as well. You never know!! It's always such a refresher, and I always think that I need to keep reviewing it, just to stay on top of it. I always say that, but this time I am going to at least try. We'll see...

Jared's playing soccer today so, I think I will be doing some more work on the invitations and hopefully do a little bit more scrappin!! That will be my weekend!! Hope everyone has a happy Easter, and that the Easter bunny finds you!!

Not much really, mostly wedding stuff...

Life has been busy!! But it's all mostly wedding related!! I can't wait until the day is finally here. Been busy working on the invitations, stamping away with my huge honkin' stamp. That's all done, did 100 of those!! Now I get to do some embossing, which should be interesting 'cause I'm somewhat allergic to the embossing powder, I cannot stop sneezing so, we'll see how it goes!!

I'm so happy that it is a four day week, and a four day LONG weekend!! Have been looking forward to this since spring break, I'm awful!! We're having our Easter party at school on thursday, a pyjama party should be fun!! Get all the children all hyped up with sugar and then send them home to their parents. The poarents gotta love us!!

Saturday night I had dinner with Renee..a fellow pea and blogger. i met at the scrap store that she used to work at, and then again at two peas. Was so cool to hang out with her. We went to Cactus Club where, Jared works. Was tons of fun!! And we brought our scrap pages to share with each other, her pages are absolutely amazing. She's so inspiring!! Can't wait to get together with her again!!

100 DAYS!!

It's official. The countdown now really begins!! The wedding is in exactly 100 days!! Isn't that crazy?! I'm getting a little nervous and excited!! I hope everyone is having a good thursday, I'll write more later...

My weekend...April's TEAL CJ...Page Swap with Alex...

I am so glad that we are back at daylight savings time..it means that summer will be here soon, which I cannot wait for...

My weekend and past week has been good. Busy with wedding stuff, especially that the time is getting closer now. Meeting with the caterer and the decorator, went really well. They were both going to go and take a look at the Scottish Cultural Centre to check it out and also to let us know about the decorating. We're busy looking for a DJ, which is a little bit difficult, all the ones we've looked up have been booked already which kind of sucks, but I'm not worried we'll find somebody!!

Yesterday I went to a travel agent to get some prices for hotels in Hawaii..YAY!! So excited!! Got some, they all range from not too bad price to super expensive. I showed Jared and we picked one, right on the beach which is affordable..so, now all we have to do is book it, will do that this week!!

Last night I did some more work on the invitations, did it in front of the t.v., watching Michael Buble..love him...Jared and I saw him in concert last summer, it was an outdoor concert and it was so awesome, we went with Mike and Jen and had so much fun!! The invitations are going, finished scoring and folding them, now working on stamping the front with a Celtic Writing background stamp. I'm stamping it with a Versamark pad...so it's very subtle. Love how it looks!! But my hand got tired after a while, the stamp is huge and I have to use both hands to stamp it!! Only got almost half done but, I will finish up probably over the week in front of the t.v.

Things are good!! Thanks for all your thoughts and advice with all the bridesmaid drama. I'm going to see how it goes and if my friend continues, I will talk to her.

I'm feeling happy!! Last night there was a fundraiser at the Flying Beaver, which is the pub that both Jen and Mike work and they had a fundraiser for Mike. first, Mike was able to go home yesterday, which is totally awesome. And I know that both Mike and Jen are happy!! He still cannot walk but, gets around in a wheelchair, which is fine because it won't be for much longer!!

The fundraiser was a huge success!! Jen and I went together. I picked her up from their place!! It was good to see her and we just chatted the whole way there!! At the fundraiser there was acouple of silent auction items up for a bid, including a weekend away in Whistler, tickets to a canucks game,win a houseboat for the weekend. And a really cool looking Martini basket!! There was a 50/50 draw and people were able to make donations!! Jen and I just basically hung out at the bar, chatted and drank a bit...a -lot of people came up to talk to her too. She said she felt a little overwhelmed with everything!! But we had a good time just chatting about a ton of stuff and hanging. Jared helped out with the fundraiser, and I got to spend a bit of time with him!! He was all dressed up, and looked so incredibly handsome!! Lucky me!! It was a hige success, and a-lot of money was raised, which is so awesome!!

This afternoon, I hung out with Mike and Jen. went over to their place, Jared had a soccer game!! We went to Michaels, Mike and Jen live across the street from it!! We walked over and Mike went in his wheelchair, Jen pushing and him doing it himself!! He did awesome!! He was quite tired after!!

So, while he hung out on the couch, and some other friends came over and hung out with him!! Jen and I were being crafty in the kitchen!! She's making a whole bunch of thankyou cards, and I started on the wedding invitations...we're getting there slowly!! We have 90 to make, it's going to be a bit of time!! Will post pics when I am done!! It was a fun afternoon!! I'm so glad Jen and I are getting really close, she's fun, easy to talk too, and just an awesome friend. I'm also so happy that things for both Mike and Jen is going to be okay!! Was a big scare!!

Tomorrow Jared and I are meeting with the caterer and the decorator and probably working more on the invitations....I was tagged by Maria

Bridesmaid Drama..Scrapping..Jen and Mike...Invitations...Spring Break is over...

My weekend was good, lots of things got done, just all round good!! Friday I had a Mary Kay makeup party at my house for the bridesmaids and an honorary bridesmaid. We had tons of fun, trying different products and chatting about the wedding!! Got to talk about the bridesmaids things, show them the dress we found and other things. Then I was kicked out for a bit while they discussed things that I was not allowed to hear. After the party, I went with my good friend Connie to this Art store that also sells scrapbook supplies, she's been telling me all about it, so we went to go take a look. They were having a sale on patterned paper, which was awesome, so spent $30 on paper and other things not too bad. Now I have to be good and not buy anythng else, it's hard.

I have a problem too, well not really mine it's more with two of my bridesmaids. They do not get along, it's more one than the other. She'd just so mean to the other one, and in such an obvious way. At first I thought it was just me making too much of it, but it's been confirmed by two others that it's true. And I feel bad for my friend who's getting this, now she tries really hard and I'm thinking if I should say something to my other friend about it. Or see if it will cool down? Tell me what you think...now some pics...

Friday night I talked to Jen, Mike's fiancee on the phone. She called me and I've been meaning to call her, but I don't want to overwhelm her but, she beat me to it. It felt so good to talk to her...we talked for a long time about everything, Mike, work, wedding stuff, scrapping everything. She's doing good, and I think just needed to talk, we're getting together soon, I cannot wait!!

Saturday I did a bit of scrapbooking and played around with the wedding invitations..had a couple of ideas just wanted to show Jared and see if he had any ideas. Will share soon for now, here are some pages...

Sunday I went with Jared to see Mike at the hospital...I hadn't seen him since the night of the accident. And I must say for what he went through he looks REALLY GOOD!! It was so good to see him. He's basically the same old Mike, laughing and joking. He has a bit of short term memory loss, so he forgets things, but that's okay hopefully that will get better. He's moving and everything, sits up. It was good to see him. Jen wasn't there so, I didn't get a chance to talk to her, which kind of sucked, that's okay. It was good to see Mike!!

Jared and I went out for dinner, for Mexican. I always feel bad 'cause my mom's cookinfg is so much better. But, it was good. I go more for the dessert, this may sound a bit gross, but it it SO GOOD...deep fried Mars bar wrapped in a tortilla, with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream...so yummy!! We were so full after!! Went back to my house to show Jared the invitations and he helped me with some more ideas, so looks like we will start making them this weekend.

So, today is my first day back to school after Spring Break..went by so fast, I'm already looking forward to the weekend. I'm so awful....later!!

4 Months...122 Days...

Until the wedding...I cannot believe it!! And how are we feeling? A little stressed but not too much, Jared and I both kind of just want this day to come already, I know it sounds bad..but we're both excited and just want to start our lives together...I am still excited to wear my dress...and cannot wait to see Jared in his kilt...But we still have a million and one things...going to work on the invitations this weekend, the paper should be here either tomorrow or Friday and so I can start cutting and scoring..now just need to wait for the stamps, which should be here soon, according to the Stamp Store...

Being on Spring Break has been so awesome...just love it!! Waking up late, drinking my coffee in front of the computer in my pj's...taking all my time in the world..being lazy..just hanging out...watching some tv...caught up with days..and all the other soaps...watching talk shows..and doing tons of scrapping. Still trying to work on our Engagement Pics...for the Engagement album..but having tons of fun!! Here are some of my layouts...

Thankyou so much all your thoughts and prayers for Mike and his fiancee Jen. I am happy to say that he is doing good, and things are looking really well all it's going to take now is time!! He went in on Thursday afternoon for surgery to get pins put into his ankles, and that went well. He's still out of it because of all the drugs. The only thing that they're still waiting to take a look at is his lower lumbar...which is at the lower end of the spine near the tailbone. It's still very swollen and they to get in to look and see but, it will have to wait. Hopefully it will be okay. He can move his legs and arms so, that's good. On Saturday he was a little bit awake, and that he drank some water and gave Jen a kiss, which is awesome!! He still doesn't really know what is going on and who everybody is but at least he gave Jen a kiss and figures she's important to him!! Which is awesome!! He's also been mumbling Chicago a-lot, Chicago this and that...kind of funny!! All the times that Jared has gone to see Mike he's been wearing something of the Chicago Bears..his fave football team so, we think he might be asking for Jared. But I'm glad that he's going to be okay. We're told that he might get to go home next week, which is so awesome!!

I'm still in shock over what happened, thankful that Mike is going to be okay and will be there at our wedding standing next to Jared. But when things like this happen it totally makes you think about your life and enjoying things and enjoying each and every day. For me it's the first time that someone close has nearly left us, yes I've had my grandparents pass away but, I was younger and they lived either in Mexico or in the Netherlands so it was different. Just going to live each day to the fullest, enjoy it and not take it for granted. Just something I've been thinking...

We need your prayers

We had a horrible storm last night. With a very strong wind, and a mix of both snow and rain. Jared's best friend, Mike is a pilot. He called me last night at about 9pm that Mike was in a plane crash. The plane crashed in Powell River which is about 5 or 6 hours from Vancouver. The plane was trying to land. Mike tried to land one tim, couldn't then went back up and tried again. A huge gust of wind came, that was really strong flipped the plane over. There were two people in the plane, Mike the pilot and his co-pilot. The co-pilot did not make it. Mike was taken to Powell River hospital and then was transported by helicopter to Vancouver General for some scans and tests. Jared and I went there to meet his fiancee Jen, and lend our support anyway that we can. We got there just as he was being brought in. We were put into a private waiting room, while they worked on him and did a whole bunch of tests. We waited for a long while. He's completely out of it, doesn't know where he is, what happend, what is going on. But he is alive. Thank God!! We were at the hospital until about 4am. As of right now he is stable, has fractured both feet ann ankles. Fractured his lower verterbrae, broke some ribs, has a bruised eye and caved his cheekbone. But he is okay, all the scans and test came out good. No bleeding in his head or anywhere else, his heart and his blood pressure are normal. The doctors said that he will be pretty much be out of it for about a week, but that's normal and that the best thing for him right now is rest. Please think of Mike and his fiancee Jen, your prayers and thoughts. We need him for a very long time, which I know will be, but please think of them both and pray. We love him very much, he is the best friend that anyone could ask for. The two of them; Mike and Jen at our Engagement Party.

Life has been busy...more wedding related than anything!! But that's okay, I don't mind. Some other things to check off my list..found the bridesmaids dresses...picked up some invitations on the weekend, now just need to get some paper, gonna order it from Stampin'Up seems to be the least expensive and also good quality.

The one thing is that bugging me is that it looks like Jared and I are going to have to cut somethings down..to keep costs down, because as of right now we are a little tight, we're okay but it needs to be better. So, right now I need to think of ideas to help keep costs down, the one thing I can thing of right now is the centerpieces, I know it's not much but, it's something. So, I was thinking of something without flowers like candles, a candlescape, I don't know, just throwing it out there so, any ideas would be greatly especially if you've had a wedding already. Another idea, cut out the limos, the dj, do only CD's...I don't know..need to go check out the Martha Weddings magazine.

So, I have two more days and then I am on SPRING BREAK..YAY!! I am so excited!! Will be spent being lazy, watching tv, making invitations, doing scrapping, just basically hanging out. I cannot wait!!

We will not be serving chips and salsa or a variety of pizzas at the wedding!!

WE FOUND A CATERER!!! YAY!! I'm so happy!! Jared went to go see this one that my friend recommended, actually it's a family friend and Jared liked her!! I am so glad...because I was beginning to worry a little!! But we have one!! And she is reasonably priced and the food sounds SO good. Plus she a decorator that she works with which is going to be so helpful, then we won't have to look for someone. I can finally check this off my list.

Nothing new and exciting, just the usual work and wedding stuff!! We're going to get some paper and envelopes to make some invitations this weekend. My project for Spring break which will begin next Friday, I am so excited...but I do have a tons of stuff I need to do.

Just found out by receiving an email that the stamp store that I ordered the stmaps from is closing. I cannot believe it!! They've been close to my house for 10 years. Thank God I ordered the stamps before then, could you imagine?

My half sister is coming over on Saturday which should be interesting..stay tuned I will let everyone know how it goes..maybe take some pictures...hope everyone is well..YAY the weekend is almost here!!
